Rules and regulations


1)   Fees

a) A student has to pay Eligibility Fees, Registration Fees, Monthly Tuition Fees, Examination Fees, Annual Social Programme Fees as & when required by the Institution & also within the last date as prescribed by the University. Failure to comply with the regulation, the student shall be debarred from giving his/her examination by the concerned University & in that case the Institute is no way liable for such act of the student.

b) A student must pay his / her monthly fees within the 7th day of the current month.

c) A total of 12 months' Fees i.e. for one academic year is to be paid by the candidate admitted, irrespective of the date of admission, in order to sit in the Final Examination of the University.

d)  Fees will be accepted with late fine of Rs. 2/- per day till the date of default.

e) Fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be transferred to any other subject or course, but can be adjusted for the next session with special written permission.

f) Outstation candidates can take admission in the college by paying the required fees through demand drafts, payable in favour of St. Peter's College, Kolkata or may send M. O. or deposit cash in person at the Head Office of St. Peter's College, Kolkata.

g) The Annual Social Programme fees has to be paid compulsorily. For deatils please refer the prospectus.

2)   Attendance

a)  As a regular candidate one must attend at least 75% of the classes/ lectures given from the date of commencement 9f the academic year.

b) A candidate who does not pay his/her fees consecutively for 3 months, his/her name shall be struck off from the College Register.

3)  Academic Rule

a)  Admission is open to Candidates all over India and abroad. Admission can not be claimed as a matter of right, however, provisional admission may be given, subject to cancellation and forfeiture of provisional admission charges if a candidate fails to produce required documents and photograps 7 days from the date of  provisional admission / or in case of misconduct with Principal, Vice-Principal, Faculty and Staffs.

b) Students giving bogus Certificates/ Document will do so at their own risk & responsibility.

c) Students are required to attend the weekly tests and internal assesement tests regularly, failure of which he / she will not be promoted.

d)  Students who want to discontinue has to notify the school within 7 days of admission otherwise he/she has to pay fuIl 12 months' (One Academic year) fees to get the Transfer Certificate.

e)  No candidate will be allowed to sit in the University’s Final Examination if he / she does not clear twelve month i.e. one academic year's tuition fees irrespective of the date of admission and in such a case, liabilities that may arise shall be of the candidate .

f) Performance report / other Notices shall be provided in the notice board and through Bearing Post; all such bearing notices have to be taken with cost. The Institute may also notify a Correspondence Candidate through REGISTERED POST WITH AD. or EMS SPEED POST WITH POD about material facts of considerable importance and in that event the Candidate has to bear the expenses of such Postage.

g)   The Institute is no way liable on account of postal strikes/delays/latches in delivering letters of Communication to any Correspondence Candidate. As such it is advised that correspondence Candidates must try to keep in touch with the office of the Institute to know about recent material facts.

h )   After Registration of the University, students will be issued Identity Cards on payment of Rs. 50/-, Identity Cards should be kept by the students safely till completion of the course.

4)  General Rules

a)  Strict disciplinary action will be taken against any student indulgence in misconduct.

b) Outstation candidates must keep in touch with the Head Office as the case may be for necessary information / materials etc.

c) For any problem, outstation candidates should directly write to the Secretary /Principal St. Peter's College, Kolkata.

i) The University reserves the right to change the syllabus keeping in view the requirement of the day which. will be binding on the students.
ii) The college has the right to change the existing rules and apply new rules any time without prior notice. For deatils and updated rules and regulation, please refer the prospectus.
